Help! I have paid an invoice to a non-affiliated healthcare provider. What now?

 

When you are insured through a DKV Mundisalud or DKV Top Health health insurance, you can submit invoices that you have paid to non-affiliated healthcare providers or that you have paid abroad.

You should never pay affiliated healthcare providers for covered care yourself, as DKV will not reimburse you in that case.

 

Help! How do I submit an invoice?

You can do this in various ways:

  • You can request reimbursement for invoices yourself in the customer portal "customer area" of DKV through the following link https://areadelcliente.dkv.es/eng/publica/login/login
  • Or via the app 'Activa DKV': the DKV App with which you manage all aspects of your health insurance and your health.

Help! What information is required for the reimbursement of invoices?

 

Original paid invoices with the following details:

  • Invoice number
  • Name of the healthcare provider CIF and recognition number of the healthcare provider
  • Invoice date
  • Patient's name
  • Date on which the medical procedures were performed
  • List of the different medical procedures (note: sometimes not everything is reimbursed, such as used materials or other items not covered)
  • The invoice must be stamped as paid or you must attach a separate payment receipt.

 

Help! Is an invoice always sufficient to be reimbursed?

 

For diagnostic tests and medical treatments, a legible prescription issued by a doctor must be submitted. For special tests and treatments (such as PET, MRI, CT scans, oncology, surgery, prosthetics...), in addition to the prescription, a medical report with the diagnosis is always required.

After hospitalization, the discharge report from the responsible doctor must also be attached.
