Help! My car is on fire!

 

  • Only attempt to extinguish the fire if it doesn't endanger your life, the lives of other occupants, or third parties.
  • Move to a safe distance from the vehicle to prevent the flames from injuring anyone.
  • Clearly indicate the position of the burning vehicle so that other vehicles can see it from at least 100 meters away.
  • Never exit the vehicle on the side of the road where other vehicles are driving. Exit only onto the shoulder or beside the road.
  • Call the emergency number 112 or Zurich at (0034) 933 660 777.

 

Help! How do I report damage to Zurich?

 

  • You can open and track a damage claim yourself through the Mi Zurich app. Haven't installed the app yet? You can find more information about the Mi Zurich app at: https://azul.zurich.es/mizurich/app/sec/login?lang=nl_NL.
  • If you encounter technical issues while installing the Mi Zurich app, call (0034) 917549900, select option 1, and request an IT specialist who speaks English. Alternatively, you can email in English to: zurichsoporte@zurich.com.

 

  • You can also call the specialized Zurich claims team for foreign customers at (0034) 933 660 77. They can assist you in English, French, German, or Spanish, depending on your preference (sometimes with translators).

 

What documents do I need to submit after a car fire?

 

To properly process the claim, you must provide us with the following:

  • A copy of the fire department's report, if they were involved.
  • A copy of the police report or a similar document, if they were involved.
  • A detailed and signed statement about the possible causes and circumstances of the fire.
  • Information about any injured or treated individuals in assistance centers, including the severity of their injuries, their phone numbers, etc. If it concerns occupants of the vehicle themselves, also provide the assistance forms from the center where they were treated.
  • The damage suffered by third parties to their vehicles, objects, or belongings, along with their information, phone numbers, etc.

 

You can then send the necessary documents to: siniestros.autos@zurich.com, mentioning the claim number or policy and the name of the policyholder.

 

Don't forget that an invoice for the insurance must include the following information:

  • NIF/CIF of the repair service and the policyholder's name.
  • Invoice number and invoice date.
  • Total amount, gross, net, and tax percentage.

 

An invoice must also meet the following conditions:

  • The invoice format must not be editable (Word, Excel, etc. documents are not suitable).
  • The address must exactly match the one stated in the policy, including street name, house number, postal code, and municipality.
