  • If your car has broken down in your place of residence (the place of residence as stated in the car insurance policy), you can call Zurich's towing service at (0034) 934 165 040 (Spanish-speaking only) or (0034) 933 660 777 (English, French, German, and Spanish-speaking).

 

  • If the car has broken down outside your place of residence (the place of residence as stated in the car insurance policy), you can call Zurich Travel Assistance at (0034) 932 671 040.

 

Stay with the car!

It is important that you stay with the car until the tow truck arrives. You cannot make an appointment or request specific times from the towing service. The towing service must arrive within 1 hour (this could take 5 minutes or up to 59 minutes).

 

Help! What information should I provide?

  • Name of the insurance policyholder, license plate number, and policy number.
  • Make and color of the car.
  • What the problem is, for example, the engine, the battery, an accident, fuel shortage, flat tire, etc.
  • The exact address where the car is located: is the car visible from the street? Is the car in an underground garage? Is the car in a private parking lot of a store that is closing?
  • The name and surname of the person with the car who will sign the documentation for the towing service.
  • Important! Their mobile phone number in case the towing service cannot locate the vehicle.
  • Contact information for the garage where the car should be taken: name, address, and phone number.
  • If this happens outside the garage's opening hours, the car can be taken to a designated parking area, and then, from the garage's opening time, the car will be transported to the garage.
  • How many passengers are there who may need to be transported somewhere?

 

Is your car parked at an airport parking lot?

When the towing service picks up a car, wherever it may be, there must always be a responsible person present. Someone who gives instructions, grants permission, and signs on behalf of the owner if necessary. Some parking lots organize this for their customers. Zurich is only responsible for moving your car to the garage.
